Sports Injury Specialist Nicky Best on board to work with the UKBJJA
The UKBJJA is very happy to announce the addition of Sports Injury Specialist Nicky Best to the UKBJJA team. Nicky will be working with the elite athletes to help them prepare for competitions and offering her advice and expertise to the association. She joins an existing team of strength and conditioning, nutrition and BJJ experts who are ensuring that the UKBJJA is leading the way in effective training and competition preparation.
Nicky is a highly experienced Sports Injury Specialist who startedher education back in 1996 with the Football Association. Tutored by Gary Lewin at Arsenal FC, Nicky discovered a passion for human movement, injury treatment & prevention in high-level athletes.
She continued to work in the fitness industry as a NASM Corrective exercise specialist & a Sports Massage therapist while studying Sports Therapy at university, gaining many qualifications along the way.
Always keen to continue learning, this year Nicky has decided to begin her MSc in Strength and Conditioning at St Mary's University Twickenham.
Over the years Nicky has also focused on building her business “The Clique Clinic” to provide the best possible sports therapy service for elite combat sports athletes, many of whom are National Champions and represent England and Great Britain. The Clique Clinic is also the therapy team behind some of the country’s biggest Crossfit events.
