Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (National): Willetts comment on High Fliers Graduate Careers Survey 2010
Commenting on the release of the UK Graduate Careers Survey 2010, conducted by High Fliers Research Ltd, David Willetts, Minister of State for Universities and Science, said:
"The jobs market continues to be very tough for young people, who were among the biggest losers during the recession. We are committed to doing all we can to make it easier for them to find work and realise their ambitions. That is why we will get rid of the planned tax on jobs by raising the National Insurance thresholds for employers.
"There continues to be enormous value in higher education and that is why we also are committed to offering an extra 10,000 university places this year."
