Labour Party: Government should have seen the domestic oil problem coming - Hillier
Meg Hillier MP, Labour’s Shadow Environment Secretary, commenting on the problems with domestic oil distribution, said:
“The Government should have seen this coming – it’s the second cold snap we’ve had in a few weeks.
“The Government has given no clear indication of what it is actually doing to ensure fair distribution. There is talk of rationing and there is talk of to trying to get things done. Those who rely on domestic oil need to know exactly what is happening.
“I have today contacted the Energy Secretary Chris Huhne urging him to get a grip, ensure deliveries take place and enable people to heat their homes this Christmas.”
