Somo: Somo Launches Apptimiser™ to Revolutionise Mobile App Marketing

Industry-first tool allows customers to drive profit from mobile app campaigns

Somo (www.somoagency.com), Europe’s leading mobile marketing agency, today announced the launch of Apptimiser, its unique new tool which allows marketers to maximise their return from mobile marketing spend. The tool, which is available to Somo clients, enables detailed tracking of the performance of individual app campaigns across all mobile platforms including iOS and Android. Apptimiser, which is independent of advertising networks, provides visibility on the success of each app campaign. Using Apptimiser means that clients only spend money on app campaigns that provide them with real returns. With Apptimiser results, Somo can easily re-allocate budget between the most effective advertising networks.

Many people are unaware that around 25% of all downloaded apps are deleted after a single use or are never used at all. This means that the number of downloads alone isn’t an effective measure of success. . Apptimiser allows marketers to manage the criteria defining a successful campaign, which along with downloads could, for example, be the third time the app is opened, a separate call to action or registration of user details.

Currently, in order to track an app campaign through an app store, multiple tracking tags or multiple SDK’s (Software Developer Kits) need to be implemented, both of which can compromise an app’s performance, making it sluggish and delivering a poor user experience.
