Virgin Trains launches additional services between Leeds and London

With just eleven weeks to go until Christmas, Virgin Trains has confirmed that it will launch additional services on its popular route between Leeds and London King’s Cross.

Customers in Leeds will see an additional 09:40 departure on Saturday’s starting this weekend (17 October). The new service will also call at Wakefield Westgate and arrives at London King’s Cross at 11:51. The return service will depart London at 19:04 and arrive in Leeds at 21:21, allowing customers to experience a full day in London.

Virgin Trains has also just released tickets for travel during the festive period, meaning that customers travelling on the East Coast route can book their tickets for travel up to 3 January 2015 across its whole network, and for most weekdays until Wednesday 23 March 2016 on key routes between London York, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Leeds.

Alison Watson, Customer Experience Director at Virgin Trains, said: “We’re delighted to launch tickets for travel during the busy festive period along with the additional services between Leeds and London. These services will be great for leisure travellers and those families wishing to head to London in the run-up to Christmas.”
