Willie Dowling - Happy? (Dumka) remix

So sorry to break the silence but there is news of sorts.

I’m gearing up for the release of a new album called The Simpleton. You may have seen the video taster song; Long Drop Down which was on Facebook and Twitter for a week, but a release for The Simpleton album is a wee while a way yet so let’s speak no more of it.

In the meantime, reflecting recently on the possibility of one day maybe playing some live shows before I croak, I decided I might need elements from the archive recording of an old favourite of mine Happy? (Dumka) from the album Gramophone Logic.

Upon hearing how dreadful the archived parts sounded, I ended up re-recording many of the parts, and then inevitably felt I needed to remix the whole track.

The technology and equipment I used on the original recording was pretty primitive, so I hope you enjoy the results and appreciate the sonic difference. I’d be interested (I think) to hear your thoughts.

Since Happy? (Dumka) is an old song and many of you will already own the old version, I'd be much happier if you had this new version for free.
