Attana Application Note: Characterization of complex lectin-cell kinetics

The objective of this application note was to determine the binding properties of the lectin ConA towards human epidermoid carcinoma cells. Among other things it was found that a kinetic approach may be used to determine the apparent affinity and rate constants of lectin-cell glycan interactions, providing a greater understanding of the mechanism involved in the lectin recognition of cancer cells.
