Tales From the Loop RPG Launched On the Roll20 Virtual Tabletop

As Free League Publishing takes another step into virtual tabletop gaming, the core rulebook for the multiple award-winning Tales From the Loop RPG was launched today as an official module on the Roll20 online platform.

The new Roll20 bundle, priced at only $24.99, includes all of the content in the printed core rulebook, including the Four Seasons of Mad Science campaign of four complete Mysteries to play. The content is fully integrated with the Roll20 platform, with VTT-ready maps and diagrams, player handouts ready to share, and a new official online character sheet including a customized virtual dice roller.

Earlier this year, the new Starter Set for the Tales From the Loop RPG was released on Roll20. More Free League titles – including the official ALIEN RPG – will be launched on virtual tabletop platforms in the weeks and months to come.

In the Tales From the Loop RPG, players take the roles of teenagers solving spectacular mysteries connected to the Loop – a huge and mysterious underground particle generator. The game, based on the wondrous worlds of author and visual artist Simon Stålenhag, was released in 2017 and was a big hit, winning no less than five Gold ENNIE Awards, including Best Game and Product of the Year. The game is Free League Publishing's best-selling title to date.

Stålenhag's narrative art books Tales From the Loop and Things From the Flood stunned the world with a vision of an alternate Scandinavia in the 1980s and ‘90s where technology has invaded the tranquil landscapes to form an entirely new universe of the eerie and the nostalgic. In April, a tv series based on Stålenhag's work was launched on Amazon Prime Video.
