Dunleavy & Associates Winner of Inaugural Main Line Gives Back Award

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Dec. 12, 2014 -- Dunleavy & Associates was honored this month by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey with the first-ever Main Line Gives Back Award. Nancy Dunleavy, President and Founder of Dunleavy & Associates, accepted the award at the chamber's annual Red Carpet Dinner, held Dec. 10 at the Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center in Drexel Hill.

The award honors companies that enhance the community by supporting nonprofit and community-focused endeavors through cash donations, volunteer efforts, and in-kind donations. Dunleavy & Associates was one of six companies honored and received the award for the small business category, in organizations with fewer than 50 employees.

"I could not be more proud of our Dunleavy Team and the work that we do every day,” said Nancy Dunleavy, President. “I am in awe of their commitment to the community and financial contributions to causes that they are passionate about.”

The award honored efforts made during the 2013 calendar year. In that time, the 14 people who comprise the Dunleavy team gave 1,517 hours of their personal time to volunteer efforts, while personally donating $18,435 to charitable causes. When added to the $43,409 donated by the firm, Dunleavy & Associates gave a total of $62,000 in 2014-- more than $4,400 per team member.

Staff at Dunleavy & Associates also have assumed leadership roles in various organizations across the region. Dunleavy recently began her second term as chair of the Gwynedd Mercy University Board of Trustees, while other firm members serve on committees of the North Penn Education Foundation, F.I.R.S.T., and the March of Dimes.

The annual Red Carpet Dinner featured remarks by Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and a performance by the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center's show choir. Other honorees included PECO, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach Realtors, and Citizens Bank of PA.
