We were told our floors cannot be sanded again. Is that true?
Floor boards, which are finished wood, are generally very thin. Most floors can only be sanded between 1-2 times. There are several reasons a floor can't be sanded, such as, moisture has crept into the boards, the nails are showing but the board is too thin to reset them, or the floor is warped and uneven. There are two good things I can tell you though. Our process is completely NON-destructive and never harms the wood! Also, we have done floors with one, two, or all of the problems listed above, and all had outstanding results! It is always worth giving us a chance to see what we can do with your floor before you consider replacing it!
What kind of finish do you use?
We use our own brand of wood floor finish. It is a one of a kind, 21st Century proprietary solution. There is nothing like it on the market today and cannot be purchased in any store. We have tested it against every other floor finish that is available in the market today, and nothing compares to what we use!
Mr. Sandless Franchise LLC Floor :Once the floor is coated, provide good ventilation through the room for at least 1 hour. If your floor was in pretty good shape before recoating, one coat probably will be sufficient. If you want to apply a second coat, do so after at least 3 hours, but before 6 hours. Within this time, you won't need to rescreen the floor. If you let the first coat dry overnight, though, lightly screen the first coat, then vacuum and wipe the floor thoroughly to remove all dust.

More important than the type of finish is whether the floor has been waxed or cleaned with an oil-based product. If these waxes or cleaners have ever been applied to the floor, the new coating will not bond properly. You should also be careful of areas that have been exposed to furniture polish. If you have any doubts, test the finish in an inconspicuous area, let it dry, and see if it bonds well before attacking the whole floor.
After roughening the floor, thoroughly vacuum to remove the dust. It's a good idea to also vacuum the walls, as dust tends to cling there. Go over the floor with a towel dampened in clean water to pick up any remaining dust. Let the floor dry before continuing.
Mr. Sandless Franchise LLC Refinisher : How long does it last?
We offer a five year warranty that our finish will not peel, crack, chip, or yellow! There are many variables that go into determining durability, but generally speaking, with proper care, a floor finished by Mr. Sandless will last for many years. Our polymer has the same properties as urethane, and so the durability is the same as water based urethane. To increase the durability, we will apply multiple coats to seal the floor for no additional cost to you.
Mr. Sandless Franchise LLC Refinisher While it's not absolutely necessary to mask the baseboard and shoe molding before applying the finish, it's a good idea. Apply 2-in.-wide masking tape to the base and shoe molding (Fig. 9), pressing it tightly to the molding at the joint with the floor.
