Nidec Control Techniques 50 years of innovation continues

The 4th of October signifies a momentous milestone in the history of Control Techniques. It marks 50 years of innovation, growth, and engineering excellence. In half a century we have grown from 3, to over 1900 employees, working in 4 manufacturing sites, 5 R&D sites and 23 drive centers worldwide.

Control Techniques’ achievements would not have been possible without its customers, so a big thank you goes to them for their continued support. Going forward these customer relationships, that have been built on loyalty and trust, will continue to grow as Control Techniques strives for continued excellence by innovating and designing award-winning drives, that will propel its customers to greater success.

Driving into the next half a century?
The plan is to think big and invest big, to nurture relationships with customers and partners, generate new employment opportunities, design products to support the sustainability of the planet and to continue developing energy saving solutions. Above all the goal is to strengthen their ability to meet the ever-growing, long-term demand for drives for all purposes.

Investment to support growth opportunities
With the support of its parent company Nidec, Control Techniques proudly continues to make strategic global investments. 2022 saw the opening of a new state of the art factory in Mexico, expanding its manufacturing capabilities for the North and South American markets. This $18.6 million investment marks just a portion of the commitment to increasing manufacturing capacity worldwide. Work is already underway on a brand-new manufacturing facility in India; this proactive investment brings shorter, more resilient supply chains for their customers ensuring that products are always available, whilst maintaining the quality that Control Techniques is known for.
