Announcement of Grand Opening Ceremony for Bulgaria Development Center

NIDEC ELESYS CORPORATION (hereafter, "NIDEC ELESYS") will open a R&D center in Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria (hereafter, "Bulgaria"). The opening ceremony was held with the presence of President Rumen Radev.

1. About Our R&D center
 In response to the growing demand for our in-vehicle inverters and ECUs due to the tightening of environmental regulations in Europe and the tightening of CO2 emission regulations for automobiles in major countries, we established a development center in Bulgaria to build a development system in Europe.
In Bulgaria, there engineers who are fluent in English and have extensive experience in developing in-vehicle electronic devices. We have already hired 40 engineers, but we plan to expand to 100 in the future. .
This base will work with our headquarters and Utsunomiya Development Center, which are the mother development bases, to develop technologies that meet the needs of customers in the European region and contribute to the economic revitalization of the region.

3. Regarding inter-group cooperation in the European region
We are currently constructing a new factory in Serbia, and the establishment of this development center will enable us to establish a development and production system in the European region. In addition, we will work with other Nidec Group companies that have already expanded into the region to build an efficient supply chain in the region.
