Auto China 2018 Kicks Off in Beijing

April 25 marked the beginning of Auto China 2018, held in Beijing under the slogan “Steering To A New Era.” During the first two press-exclusive days, Dr. Kazuya Hayafune, the deputy executive general manager and chief engineer of Nidec's Automotive Motor & Electronic Control business unit, was present to answer questions from the press about Nidec’s newly announced fully integrated traction motor system. Among other things, he explained that Nidec plans to invest 30B JPY to build a factory in China and start mass production in May 2019. The company plans for the E-axle to exceed 100B JPY in annual sales by FY2025.

Auto China 2018 is held between April 25 and May 4 in the China International Exhibition Center New Venue in Beijing, China. Attendees are welcome to visit Nidec’s booth (W3-W02) to learn more about our technologies and the market trends and values that drive our research and development.
