Nidec Industrial Solutions and AESC – sign agreement for the supply of Lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) Energy Storage Systems (ESS)

Milan (Italy), Yokohama (Japan) - 10 April 2024 – Nidec Industrial Solutions, a global leader in stationary energy storage systems, with AESC, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of high-performance batteries for zero-emission electric vehicles and energy storage systems, announced the signature of a supply agreement to collaborate on several projects.

As the first phase of the cooperation, AESC will supply Lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries to Nidec Industrial Solution for over 3GWh on several projects globally. Commissioning will be executed in close coordination between Nidec Industrial Solutions and AESC.

With this partnership, Nidec Industrial Solutions expands its already wide range of batteries demonstrating high flexibility in supporting Customers with different and efficient stationary energy storage solutions.

Both parties have a shared priority to offer Customers the most innovative and sustainable solutions, and the agreement will allow the two partners to further reinforce their market positions as demand for LFP Energy Storage Systems (ESS) is showing rapid growth in many regions, with an estimated market demand in excess of 1100 GWh by 2030.

The supply agreement signing ceremony took place on 10 April 2024 and was attended by Dr. Jay Jiang, President of AESC, Mr. Robin Xu, Vice President of Sales, ESS Business of AESC, and Mr. Dominique Llonch, CEO Nidec Industrial Solutions.
