Nidec Launches Standard Fans for AI Servers at Major Electronics Distributors, DigiKey and Mouser

Nidec Corporation ("Nidec") today announced that its standard fans for AI servers are now available for purchase through electronic component e-commerce platforms DigiKey and Mouser.

In recent years, the rapid advancement of AI technology has presented new challenges in AI server development, notably the need for accelerated development cycles and swift global component procurement by international development teams. Concurrently, while electronic components within AI servers are becoming more densely packed and generating more heat, there is an increasing demand for reduced power consumption in data centers and for noise reduction in AI server operation.

To address these industry challenges, the standard fans for AI servers now available on DigiKey and Mouser currently come in 8 models, with expansion plans prioritizing a wide selection of highly demanded sizes ranging from 38mm to 120mm square. This product group has already been widely adopted in the market, offering high reliability and superior cooling performance. Furthermore, they are designed to operate safely across a wide temperature range, making them suitable for harsh environments, such as high temperatures. With a AI server-optimized design, these fans ensure the necessary airflow and static pressure for cooling while achieving quiet operation, making them suitable for data centers.
