Nidec to Debut Liquid Cooling Solutions at "Data Center World Asia"

Nidec Corporation ("Nidec") announces its first-time participation in "Data Center World Asia," to be held from September 29 (Tue) to September 30 (Wed), 2026, at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore.

Nidec has broadly expanded its solutions for next-generation data centers across global markets, including Japan, China, and North America. Driven by the recent proliferation of generative AI, data center construction is accelerating rapidly in Southeast Asia, centered around Singapore. Consequently, addressing high heat dissipation from servers and improving overall data center energy efficiency have become urgent priorities.

To meet these strong market demands, Nidec is leveraging this exhibition to bolster its solution rollouts in Southeast Asia. At the venue, Nidec will showcase highly reliable liquid cooling solutions built upon the precision machining and inspection technologies refined through its HDD spindle motor manufacturing. By combining its comprehensive thermal management expertise, Nidec provides end-to-end support for stable data center operations and reduced energy consumption.

In-Rack CDU*1: Leveraging compact and lightweight product technologies developed through small precision motor manufacturing, this unit achieves a cooling capacity of up to 300kW in a 4U footprint, resolving heat challenges in high-density servers. It boasts high reliability backed by a proven track record of over 12,000 units shipped globally.

In-Row CDU: Delivering up to 2MW of cooling capacity within a space-saving chassis, this unit flexibly accommodates environments ranging from containerized to large-scale data centers. Its superior maintainability—featuring redundant critical components and hot-swappable design—contributes to stable, uninterrupted data center operations.

QD (Quick Disconnect) & CDM (Cooling Distribution Manifold): Featuring highly reliable, in-house developed QDs that prevent fluid leakage during connection and disconnection, along with CDMs designed with low pressure drop to maximize server rack cooling efficiency.
