Nobel Media’s latest film premieres at Nobel Museum on 16 Oct 2012

The latest in Nobel Media’s trilogy of science documentaries, "The War Against Microbes", is due for release on PBS Stations in the USA from October 2012, and the premiere will be held at the Nobel Museum on Tue 16th of Oct at 6 pm.

From the dawn of bacteriology to today’s cutting edge research, each generation of
scientists continue to pursue the same question:

Can we one day declare victory in the war against infectious diseases?

Key contributors explaining their findings and the challenges that lie ahead are Nobel Laureates in Physiology or Medicine Barry Marshall, Robin Warren and Stanley Prusiner. The film is sponsored by Astra Zeneca Nobel Medicine Initiative.

Merci Olsson, Marketing and Communications Director at Nobel Media and Jan Andersson, Professor of Infectious Diseases at the Department of Medicine at Karolinska Institute, and also a member of the Nobel Committee in Physiology or Medicine, will make an introduction to the film and discuss
it after the screening. Moderator Milena Dàvila, Project coordinator of Film&Science at the Nobel Museum.

The duration of the film is 30 minutes and the language spoken both in the film and during the discussion is English. The event is free of charge but seat reservations are required.
