Paf signs new agreement with Tallink Group

The gaming company Paf and Tallink Group signed a new four-year collaboration agreement (2011-2014) on 4 May 2010. This agreement covers casino and slot machine operations on board all the 13 ships in the Tallink Group that operate in the Baltic Sea. The value of this contract is estimated to be worth EUR 55-60 million.

Paf and Tallink Group have been working together since 1997. Tallink is one of the largest passenger shipping companies in the Baltic Sea, operating ferry traffic on seven shipping routes under the brands of Tallink and Silja Line. In 2008/2009 Tallink Group had 8 million passengers on their ships in the Baltic Sea.

“Of course, we are very happy that Tallink Group appreciates our expertise and that they choose us as a partner and supplier of entertaining gaming services on the sea. This is proof that Paf has a strong concept that we can offer shipping companies on board their passenger ferries and cruise ships in the Baltic Sea”, says Jukka Nikula, Director of Land and Sea Operations at Paf.

As well as its sea operations, the parties also intend to intensify collaboration on the Internet. Over the years, the parties have built up a stable customer base and business opportunities will improve even more now that Paf has received an Estonian gaming licence for Internet gaming.

“Paf offers a stable and versatile offer. Working with Paf for many years has shown us that they make continual improvements to benefit customers. The special dynamics between the physical gaming world and the Internet are one of Paf’s strengths”, says Margus Schults, Managing Director of Tallink Silja OY.

For more than 40 years Paf has worked closely with shipping companies that operate ferry traffic in the Baltic Sea and offer reliable and entertaining money games on board many vessels. The range of gaming onboard includes slot machines, bingo and casino games.
