Finalists Revealed for the Manufacturing Leaders Awards 2017

Manufacturing Leaders, the learning community for the world's most influential manufacturers, has today released the list of finalists for the community’s inaugural awards. Twenty-four organizations, including IBM, Stanley Black & Decker, AkzoNobel, Thermo Fisher, BASF and Walmart, have been nominated across six categories. Four manufacturers were shortlisted for the most prestigious honor - Manufacturer of the Year.

Winners will be announced and honored at a black-tie ceremony on Thursday, November 30th 2017, at The Westin Boston Waterfront.

Shortlisted projects range from supply chain innovations to sustainability programs and talent engagement initiatives. These pioneering projects include examples of implementing 3D printing and robotics and business-critical cost-saving schemes.

“Successfully leading and innovating in a manufacturing environment is always an achievement to be celebrated,” noted Doug Conant, former CEO of Campbell’s Soup and chair of the judging panel. “These awards are unique in that they are voted on by fellow manufacturing leaders, which is critical in ensuring we innovate a whole new conversation around manufacturing leadership.”

“We were very impressed with the overall quality of the nominations,” commented Omri Nevat, CEO of Manufacturing Leaders’ parent company, Executive Leaders. “I’d particularly like to thank Doug and our judges who were instrumental in pioneering our judging process. This ensured that our community can maximize the learning from the remarkable initiatives we’re shining a light on.”
