City of Lake Forest Sponsors City-Wide Shop & Dine Lake Forest Week from August 7 to August 14

LAKE FOREST, CALIF. – Demonstrating the City’s commitment to its business community, the City of Lake Forest is taking the initiative to promote its local retailers and restaurants by sponsoring a city-wide Shop & Dine Lake Forest Week.  The week-long campaign, held August 7 through August 14, includes more than 200 Lake Forest-based shops and services along with local restaurants. Each of the restaurants and retailers will be offering unique savings and discounts as part of the city-wide promotional week. The program will benefit local residents and businesses by offering a great collection of discounts and special promotions throughout the city. The campaign also benefits each of the participating stores, restaurants and professional services by increasing traffic and awareness.

“We have great shopping and dining options in Lake Forest.  The City is pleased to present this great opportunity to promote our many fine businesses.  Additionally, when our residents and businesses spend their money locally it benefits the local owners, managers and employees and keeps tax dollars here in the city that support local services,” said Peter Herzog, mayor, city of Lake Forest. “I look forward to seeing everyone out shopping and dining during the week of August 7.”

Shop & Dine Lake Forest Week will kick off on August 7 with live music, balloons, face painting, raffle prizes and more family-friendly entertainment from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Foothill Ranch Towne Center located at the corner of Bake Parkway and Towne Centre Drive. The grand prizes include a 42” HD Vizio TV and 1-year membership to LA Fitness!

The Closing Celebration will take place August 14 with music and entertainment at The Orchard from 12 p.m. to 3 pm. There will also be a live broadcast by Playlist 92.7, giveaways, and more raffle prizes including $100 gift cards to Fresh and Easy, Bonehead’s restaurant, and an Apple iPAD as the grand prize!
