  • Yanmar and Daigas Energy Successfully Demonstrate 400kW Gas Engine Cogeneration System with 30% Hydrogen Blend

Yanmar Energy Systems Co., Ltd. (Yanmar ES), a subsidiary of Yanmar Holdings, and Daigas Energy Co., Ltd. (Daigas Energy), a subsidiary of Osaka gas Co., Ltd, have successfully conducted a demonstration test blending 30% hydrogen fuel by volume into municipal gas using an EP400G municipal gas-fired cogeneration system manufactured by Yanmar ES.
The test was conducted using an EP400G cogeneratio

  • Yanmar Collaborates with Faeger on Methane Reduction in Philippines Rice Paddies

Yanmar Agri Co., Ltd. and Yanmar Philippines Corporation, have agreed to collaborate with Faeger Corporation in efforts to reduce methane emissions from rice paddy in the Philippines using the water management method known as Alternate Wetting and Drying. Tests are set to commence around November 2024 towards promoting early adoption of the system and realizing the benefits of decarbonization.

  • Driving Sustainability with the Farm Circular Solution

Researchers at Yanmar R&D Europe have paired an efficient Yanmar combined heat and power (CHP) generator with advanced gasifier technology to deliver a solution that solves the challenge of farm waste. Farmers simply feed woody farm waste in one end, to produce power, heat, and useful farm products. The whole system is portable and fits neatly in two standard sized shipping containers.

  • YANMAR CLEAN ENERGY SITE Established for Verification of Next-Generation Energy Equipment Towards a Decarbonized Society

Okayama, Japan (August 31, 2023) –Yanmar Energy Systems Co., Ltd. (Yanmar ES), a subsidiary of Yanmar Holdings, is set to inaugurate the YANMAR CLEAN ENERGY SITE on September 1, 2023, within Yanmar ES's Okayama Testing Center, establishing a verification facility for next-generation energy equipment aimed at achieving decarbonization.
Under the banner of YANMAR GREEN CHALLENGE 2050, the Yanmar

  • A Virtual Solution to a Real Energy Crisis

Our ageing national grid infrastructures need to be upgraded or replaced with more efficient, environmentally friendly and secure networks. However, how smart are ‘smart grids’ and what’s the ‘smartest’ way for them to incorporate the latest developments in ‘virtual’ power plant technology? Fortunately, Yanmar and its European research partners are working to help provide the answers.

  • Efficient Generation for Sustainable Power

A move away from traditional coal and nuclear energy has created significant opportunities for combined heat and power generation (CHP). Companies such as Yanmar are providing low carbon solutions that are becoming an increasing part of the energy mix.

  • Yanmar Trials New Energy Source in Japan

In Japan, YANMAR Co., Ltd. has participated in a test of a hydrogen fuel cell-powered boat, under the auspices of the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). The aim of the research project is to draft guidelines for safety of hydrogen fuel cell-powered boats.

  • From Waste Cooking Oil To Power & The Possibilities Of Bio Diesel

Yanmar has been developing and trialing a waste vegetable oil powered bio diesel co-generation system (CHP) since 2011, towards the implementation of a resource recycling model for society. Waste cooking oil is collected at local supermarkets and processed into fuel for combine heat and power generator systems.

  • Rice Husk Biomass Power Generation Pilot Program in Myanmar

Yanmar is engaged in a pilot program to generate electricity from biogas derived from rice husks. The aim is to provide electricity to run the rice mills, while using the waste heat from the cogeneration system to dry the chaff. The residues from rice husks left over from burning the chaff contain fertilizer nutrients which can be returned to the farmland to help recycling-oriented agriculture.
