  • Norwegian expands in Finland with 100 weekly flights

    The airline Norwegian opens a Finnish base at Helsinki’s Vantaa airport. At the same time it introduces two domestic routes and expands the current international offer from two to eleven. Three aircraft will be based in Helsinki.

  • Norwegian reports passenger record in May

    Norwegian reports the highest passenger number ever in May. Close to 1.2 million passengers flew with the airline last month. The traffic figures show that air travel is back to normal after European Authorities closed major parts of European airspace in April. The company had a passenger growth of 25 percent compared to May 2009.

  • New ash inspection routines approved by the authorities

    Norwegian is pleased that the authorities are now opening the airspace to normal flight operations and is committed to operating a normal schedule as soon as possible. The airline has put in place stringent technical aircraft inspection routines for detecting volcanic ash. These procedures were approved by the Civil Aviation Authority – Norway on Tuesday evening.

    Norwegian is today launching an entirely new frequent flyer program which will benefit both leisure and business travellers in all three Scandinavian countries. The frequent flyer program offers all travellers the possibility to earn CashPoints, up to 10 percent on Full flex tickets.
