#PRStack inspires and educates through the power of crowdsourcing

At this year's Futurecomms event, several speakers commented that it was time for us communicators to drop the ego and start collaborating.

Yesterday's launch of the 2nd #PRStack ebook (beyond its obvious purpose) reminded me how valuable it is for PRs, marketers and communications professionals to demystify the murky ecosystem of marketing and PR tech. Sharing and learning about it will undoubtedly move the industry forward.

The wider #PRStack initiative is a step in this direction, embracing the power of collaborative working and harnessing PR technology to support the evolving role of a communicator. And we're mighty proud to be included in the stack.

Practically speaking, it’s also a case study of how content can be created through nothing but influencer relations and collaboration.

How’s that for content on a shoestring!

So what is the #PRStack?

A content hub dedicated to mapping the ecosystem of tools and technology that support the modern PR workflow.

Two supporting ebooks have been published, the second of which involved 30 collaborators, two editors and one designer, providing cases studies and practical examples of how to make use of some of the coolest and useful marketing and PR tools on the block.

So whether you're fighting to streamline your workflow, baffled about managing your influencer relations, stuck on where to start with community engagement or learning to convert web traffic from a PR campaign, it's worth checking out #PRStack for really practical guidance.

And kudos to the originator,  Stephen Waddington - one man armed with a spreadsheet and a dream!
