Online newsroom sales boost agency's revenues by 30%

Deski, one of the biggest PR agencies in Finland, has seen revenues increase by more than 30% as a result of reselling Mynewsdesk's online newsroom technology over the last two years.

Juhani Levola, the CEO and founder of Deski, sees online newsrooms as the PR platform of the future as content production has created tremendous growth opportunities for the agency.

He describes the Mynewsdesk platform as a "state of the art product" which "helps our customers do content marketing".

When asked if agencies should invest more in producing owned as well as earned media for their clients he said,

“Think of the future...the fact is traditional media is not a growth factor any more. Over the last decades, the PR agency industry has enjoyed double digit growth figures, even in developed countries. But now the prospects are pretty dire, even the growth of 3-4 percent is a fairly good achievement. So the industry needs new sources of revenue. Here’s something that is proven.”

With the increased revenue, Juhani plans to hire more people for Deski's newsroom division.
