Press release -
Expancel microspheres go mobile
AkzoNobel
Pulp and Performance Chemicals recently launched a mobile version of the
Expancel website, specifically tailored for smartphones and tablets.
“This is one of several ways to increase our service to our customers in a growing global market,” says Ingrid Aksnes, Global Market Communication Manager for Expancel.
The Expancel microspheres are microscopically small gas-filled plastic balls that, when heated, increase 60-80 times in volume. The shell hardens but the sphere remains durable and very light. Expancel is mainly used in manufacturing sectors as a chemical additive, providing numerous advantages such as reducing weight and decreasing the need for other raw materials.
A mobile
website is especially important for Expancel, an AkzoNobel trademark, since a
large number of prospects find information about the unique microspheres via
the web. Smartphones and tablets are rapidly increasing as the preferred
devices for accessing the Internet (in some countries their use surpasses that
of PCs) and therefore it is important to tailor communications for these
channels.
“Expancel is not only a highly innovative, high-tech product, with this user friendly mobile website we are well positioned with our digital presence as well.”
If you have a smartphone or tablet, you will be able to access the mobile website automatically via the ordinary web address, www.expancel.com.Related links
