Indian BILT receives the Eka Chemicals-sponsored PPI award "The Efficiency Improvements of the Year"
Eka Chemicals sponsored the PPI Awards 2010 program category “The Efficiency Improvements of the Year”. The Indian company BILT Graphic Paper Products (Ballurpur), Bhigwan Unit won the category for their remarkable cost-cutting program with reduced fiber and energy consumption.
Byron Smith, director of Eka Chemicals' Pulp and Paper Europe division, handed over the trophy to Neehar Aggarwal, Senior Vice President Operations at BILT at the PPI Awards 2010 dinner and ceremony on Tuesday, November 16, in Brussels, Belgium.
The PPI Awards program honors leadership, vision, innovation and strategic accomplishments within the pulp and paper industry and the target is to recognize the achievements of companies, mills and individuals in the pulp and paper sector globally.
