HSH Nordbank Run 2018: High Performance for a good cause

On June 23 the 17th HSH Nordbank run took place in HafenCity, Hamburg. ALBIS took part in this event for the sixth time. Our group was made up of almost 50 participants from ALBIS PLASTIC GmbH and KRAHN CHEMIE GmbH. We did not let the cold and drizzle discourage us from taking part in this company race for a good cause.

A total of more than 700 teams with over 21,000 runners were registered and altogether they raised around € 160,000 for the "Kinder helfen Kindern" [Children helping children] association of the newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt. One of the things the association does is to help children and young people from low-income families in Hamburg to join local sports clubs.

The race is four kilometers long and every year it takes a different route through the newest part of Hamburg, HafenCity, which continues to grow.

Our start time was 9:45 am - we were one of the first teams to get to the start line. Everyone set their own pace but we made sure that we all met up again afterwards for a celebratory drink.
