ALBIS PLASTIC receives sustainability standard certification

Hamburg, 10/10/2018. ALBIS PLASTIC GmbH, one of the leading global companies for the distribution and compounding of technical thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers, has been certified in line with current Europe-wide Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards.The specialist assessors, EcoVadis, use a comprehensive set of criteria in the assessment including environmental, social and ethical factors and sustainable procurement. It is based on international CSR standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000.

"It is important to our customers, especially those operating in the automotive, electrical and electronic sectors, that they can work with business partners that operate sustainably, in order to be able to comply with statutory and self-imposed requirements and objectives," says Philip O. Along with their ratings, EcoVadis provides companies with a decision-making tool for collaborating with suppliers in global supply chains, for example companies operating internationally such as Renault, Faurecia, BASF, LANXESS, Deutsche Bahn, Merck and Bayer.
