BLAST Pro Series enters multi-event partnership with Twitch

RFRSH Entertainment, who has developed and owns the new CS:GO tournament format BLAST Pro Series, and social video service Twitch has entered an agreement to live stream and promote the tournament over the coming 5 BLAST Pro Series events in 2017 and 2018.

The agreement means that the World Premiere of BLAST Pro Series in Copenhagen on 24th-25th November, with the decisive group stage matches and the Grand Final played in Royal Arena on 25th November in front of +10.000 spectators, will be streamed live on Twitch.

Pontus Eskilsson, Senior Partnerships Manager, EMEA at Twitch:

- The top CS:GO tournament circuit deserves access to the most enthusiastic fans of the game. We look up to RFRSH's dedication to delivering a world-class live event and aim to provide a world-class viewing experience with both our technology and sense of community viewers will get when they chat along with the action.

Alexander Lewin, VP Distribution and Programming at RFRSH Entertainment, comments:

- We had some different options in regards to streaming partners, and are delighted to announce we have partnered with Twitch for the global online coverage of BLAST Pro Series. Just like we at RFRSH are investing heavily in the development of esports and live events, Twitch continues to push the boundaries of online esports entertainment. Teaming up with Twitch will make our content available to millions of viewers in over a dozen languages worldwide.

- The format, where three matches in the group stages are played simultaneously, enables us to broadcast each match on individual streams. The online viewer will be able to see all 3 matches on individual screens or switch between matches, as he or she pleases. It will be a new compact way to broadcast and watch esports online, and we look very much forward to working closely with Twitch to take the online viewing experience a step further."
