Press release -

Ulrika Saxon New CEO for Bonnier Growth Media

On Aug. 1, Ulrika Saxon will assume the position of CEO for Bonnier Growth Media, a new enterprise within Bonnier. Bonnier Growth Media will focus on the growth of Bonnier in areas outside traditional media. After seven years as CEO for Bonnier Tidskrifter, Saxon will be succeeded by Mats Carleson, currently vice president.

Bonnier Growth Media (BGM) will focus primarily on the development of digital operations alongside Bonnier's traditional areas of activity. From Aug. 1, cross-Bonnier web sales company Bink, online gaming company Bonnier Gaming, software platform Mag+ and digital toy developer Toca Boca will be a part of BGM.

"Our future growth likely will be to a great extent outside our historic and current structure, and possibly even in markets where we are not currently a player," says Jonas Bonnier, CEO for Bonnier AB. "I'm excited that Ulrika Saxon will now have a central role in that work."

Saxon will replace Jonas Bonnier as board chair for Bonnier Tidskrifter. She will continue to serve as board chair for Bonnier Publications, Svensk Filmindustri and SF Consumer Entertainment.

"I look forward, via the platform of Bonnier Growth Media, to intensifying the work with media and markets that will have a significant impact on Bonnier's growth," says Saxon. "For several years we've been planting some exciting seeds, but now it's time to quicken the pace and growth. I'm also really glad that Mats Carleson will be taking over as CEO for Bonnier Tidskrifter, and as board chair to continue to be a part of the changes taking place there."
