ExaVir Load proven effective for routine Viral Load in India

India is looking for readily available and cost-effective Viral Load tests for HIV monitoring. ExaVir Load from Cavidi meets the criteria and has just been demonstrated to be effective in India in a recent study.

The conclusion in the study was “ that ExaVir Load assay can be used as an alternative to the existing molecular assays in resource limited settings for the purpose of routine viral load measurement and monitoring treatment response.”

This was the result of a comparative study carried out by the Department of Microbiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. This result is one of a series of studies demonstrating the same conclusions - that ExaVir Load is an effective VL test in resource-limited settings.

Viral Load is expected to be used much more widely in India following the recently updated WHO guidelines on HIV treatment.
