Update on past events and delegation visits

The close Sino-Danish energy cooperation does every month make way for several delegation visits both in Denmark and in China. In July the Danish Energy Agency participated in the Eco Forum Global Annual Conference 2014 in Guiyang, while Copenhagen hosted a delegation from the Tianjin Urban-Rural Construction Commission and a Chinese press delegation in August.

Grundfos and Chinese press delagation in Denmark

The major Danish pump manufactoring company Grundfos and a broadly representative Chinese press delegation visited the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) on Tuesday 19 August 2014. The main topic of the presentation given by DEA evolved the Sino-Danish energy cooperation. The delegation was introduced to the Sino-Danish cooperation agreements, the pilot projects in Baicheng and Yilan County as well as the results of the 2050 Scenario Study on renewable energy. Furthermore, the delegation visit focused on energy efficiency in buildings and industries and how important these measures are to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Tianjin delegation in Copenhagen

The Danish Energy Agency held a meeting on advance building energy saving technology with a delegation from the Tianjin Urban-Rural Construction Commission on 25 August 2014. The delegation also included officials from the Tianjin Construction Science and Technology Development and Promotion Center and the Tianjin House Construction Development Group Co. Ltd. The Danish Energy Agency informed about the bilateral cooperation between China and Denmark in particular on energy efficiency buildings and green urbanization and the shared experiences on the Danish building regulations and changes in allowed energy demand for buildings.

Eco Forum Global Annual Conference Guiyang 2014

The Danish Energy Agency participated in the Eco Forum Global Annual Conference Guiyang 2014 held from 10 – 12 July 10 2014 in Guiyang and gave a presentation at the sub-forum on Green Building Development. The theme for the Conference was “Joining Hands, Leveraging Reforms to Bring Forth a New Era of Eco-Civilization”.
