Design that moves: aeris numo wins the German Design Award 2020
Object chair numo by aeris (design by Andreas Ostwald) wins the international Premium Award in the category Excellent Product Design - Furniture.
(22nd November 2019, Munich-Haar) The latest active seat by aeris, the numo object chair, has been awarded the prestigious German Design Award 2020 prize in the category Excellent Product Design – Furniture. The international jury, which gathers leading figures from all disciplines of design, awarded the prize for outstanding aesthetics and design quality as well as the innovative movement mechanism of the chair. At the largest consumer goods fair Ambiente 2020, aeris will receive the German Design Award on 7th February 2020 in Frankfurt in front of around 1,600 international guests.
aeris numo – always in motion
The aeris numo object chair combines timeless design with a novel, unusual movement mechanism. Thanks to this, the design chair follows the natural movements forwards and backwards of the persons sitting on it and thus ensures good rhythmic movement. On the numo you don't just sit comfortably, you also sit in motion, in the office, in meetings, conferences, and at home at the dining table.
The sled frame version is also suitable for outdoor use. Moreover, the five colour and three frame variants allow individual design options. A surprisingly versatile and moving design chair that is simply fun.
Guide to the design landscape
The German Design Award is one of the largest international design competitions. It is initiated by the German Design Council - the German competence centre for design, brand, and innovation - and juried by an international, top-class jury of experts. Since 2012, the competition has discovered and presented unique design trends in three categories: Excellent Product Design, Excellent Communications Design, Excellent Architecture.
