fos4X reaches 100th active patent application

The expert for monitoring and optimization of wind turbines from Munich is well known for his offensive patent strategy. Recently, fos4X was able to increase the number of active patent applications to more than 100. A specially developed idea-reporting tool is intended to further boost patent activity.

fos4X is pursuing a pioneering IP strategy

In the future, fos4X wants to significantly expand its already remarkable patent activities. A gradual increase in annual new registrations from the current 12 to more than 50 is planned. "The first 100 were just the beginning. The next target is 500 patent applications," said Manuel Mai, IP Manager at fos4X.

Introduction of an idea management

The company does not lack innovative ideas for products and patents. To keep it that way, a strategic idea management system was set up.

"In this way we prevent valuable ideas of our employees from being lost unused. The goal of our idea management is that each colleague actively participates with his ideas in the innovation process. Every idea is good."

Says Manuel Mai, IP Manager at fos4X.

Specially developed tool for idea reporting

Reporting an idea is kept as simple as possible for fos4X employees. Elaborate and time-consuming forms should not be a hurdle for colleagues, which is why they are omitted. Instead, a tool developed by fos4X is used, with which every employee can enter his idea online within minutes and subject it to an evaluation process.
