Press release -

Increased focus on software solutions

Under the umbrella brand "X4edge" fos4X bundles its portfolio of digital products to optimize the operation of wind turbines and thus further expands the digital business area. Some of these products are based on the modular sensor platform "fos4Blade".

X4edge - dynamic digital products

The software solutions (or apps) based on the sensor platform fos4Blade close the gap between the fundamental measurement of blade properties and real customer value. With cutting edge model-based analytics, machine-learning and AI techniques, fos4X converts sensor data from the edge into relevant, reliable insights that the customer can access from anywhere.

"The introduction of the agile umbrella brand X4edge and the corresponding business units enables us to work dynamically and apply new methods that are necessary for the development of future-oriented apps to optimize the wind industry.”

Robert Erdmann, CDO at fos4X.

fos4Blade - reliable, proven measurement technology

The heart of the fos4X sensor platform fos4Blade is the reliable fiber-optic measurement technology, which is immune to lightning and electromagnetic interference. The sensor platform is modular and consists of a configurable set of strain and vibration sensors as well as a central measuring device. fos4Blade can thus be individually and cost-effectively adapted to the customer's requirements.
