Until February, the public could nominate their favorites. From receiving 700 nominations in 2015, Nordic Startup Awards has experienced great interest and received 737 nominations this year.

Among the sponsors are Microsoft, Amazon, United Nations Development Program, the Danish startup organization CPHFTW, and the Icelandic Ministry for Innovation and Industry.
