From Anderson to Arca - from Philip Glass to Pedestrian Deposit

The sixth edition of CLICK Festival presents a pre-event on May 14 with Laurie Anderson (US), an opening concert with Philip Glass & The Philip Glass Ensemble (US) on May 20 and a line up in the days from 21 to 22nd May featuring among many others Arca (VE), Klara Lewis (SE), RRose (US), The Horrorist (US) and Valby vocal group (DK) from the experimental music scene.

Besides the events with Laurie Anderson and Philip Glass & The Philip Glass Ensemble the festival look forward to present a third headliner; the fast-moving producer Arca. Among others he has produced for Kanye West, Björk and rnb-stars FKA Twigs and Kelela. His own track record includes Xen and Mutant which has set a precedent for a new, dark unconventional universe with its own unique expression. Festival guests can also look forward to acomprehensive artist talk with Philip Glass, where the composer will talk about his works, and with piano on stage will perform songs from the his extensive back catalog.

Intense upcommers, underground pioneers and Danish darlings

This year's program is currateret through collaboration with representatives from the Danish and international underground scene, and new and exciting international names also characterizes the rest of the CLICK Festival's musical line up. This part of the program will include American upcommer RRose that unfolds an intense and amazing techno universe. Also Klara Lewis from Sweden and the feminist cult artist Shu Lea Cheang will appear on the programme 21 May. Cheang invites the audience on a confrontational travel through a universe where porn, politics and science fiction provide the visual setting for an impromptu performance involving 20 Danish composers and electronic musicians. In the faster part of the program be prepared to get blown away by underground phenomenon The Horrorist and the intense hardcore and drum n bass-oriented DJ Hidden from Holland. The more performance-based part of the music program presents underground pioneer Anna Homlers atmospheric staging of Breadwoman which was relaunched on the CTM in 2015 with great success. Also Jake Meginsky performs with a live experiment tailored to the festivals setup and which experiments with psychotropic sine waves. Pedestrian Deposit from Los Angeles will take the audience on an intimate journey through a violent noise universe. Last but not least, a number of exciting Danish acts are on the program, such as Goodiepal Orchestra, Croation Amor, Vault 101, Frisk Frugt featuring Storstrøms Ensemble and the always original DJ Hvad.

Performance and installation programme to be launched

In the coming days CLICK Festivals launches its performance-, talk and workshop programme that include talks with a number of interesting artists, musicians, bio-art installation with Yann Marrusich as well as premieres of two co-productions between the CLICK Festival and Danish and international players with in the digital art scene.
