Call to design the future of urban mobility online at nextmobility.net

  • International Cooperation of SMW Hamburg, SMW Copenhagen and Nexthamburg in the   course of Social Media Week 2013
  • Everyone called on to actively participate
  • Esben Danielsen, Roskilde Festival, will discuss the results with experts from Hamburg and Scandinavia at Social Media Week Hamburg

Social Media Week is a worldwide event exploring the social, cultural and economic impact of social media. Its mission is to help people and organizations connect through collaboration, learning and the sharing of ideas and information in 26 cities around the world.

The huge international Social Media Week community is invited to discuss their ideas on the future of urban mobility on http://www.nextmobility.net. A world map shows both: visions and local best practices that already exist. Nextmobility.net crowdsources visions for urban mobility within its’ global community. Successful concepts can be shared and ideas will be transferred around the globe. One smart local concept of mobility can become the starting point for a solution somewhere else in the world.

Social Media Week Hamburg, Social Media Week Copenhagen and Nexthamburg invite everyone to participate in this international brainstorming on nextmobility.net. The Hamburg Marketing GmbH supports this international cooperation. Sustainia, an alliance of international organizations and companies working to create sustainable growth, will support the online forum with their expertise.

The core question of nextmobility.net is ‘Imagine the year 2050 – How will we be moving in our cities?’ Everyone can participate, share his vision, place it on the map and discuss it.

The next step, the Nextmobility workshop in mid February in Hamburg, will practically work with the results of the online forum. Users of nextmobility.net from Hamburg and Copenhagen will shape concrete mobility concepts for Hamburg and Copenhagen.

During Social Media Week Hamburg Esben Danielsen from Roskilde Festival and Julian Petrin, Nexthamburg will discuss the results of nextmobility.net with experts from Scandinavia and Germany.
