This was Fruit Logistica 2019

Drawing over 78,000 visitors from 130 countries, Fruit Logistica in Berlin proved to be a melting pot for the global perishables industry. Panalpina leaders from different regions and products share more about their interactions with customers, airlines, ocean carriers, suppliers and partners.

With a record-breaking number of meetings and successful discussions at our booth, Fruit Logistica 2019 was a great event for Panalpina.

Our valued customers had a chance to meet our new colleagues from Skyservices in South Africa, and Newport Cargo in Argentina, both of which joined the Panalpina Perishables Network last year.

Potential customers got a privileged view into our value proposition, which is centered on Panalpina’s end-to-end service.

Suppliers and partners also came to see us. The airlines received our first-class hospitality – a great way to show them how it’s done!

Fruit Logistica in Berlin coincided with the Valentine’s Day peak flower season for our stations in Kenya, Colombia and Ecuador; that’s the dynamic of the perishables industry. No day goes by without a special occasion, calling for the attention and dedication of our growing Perishables Network.

And the icing on the cake: We were delighted that our agent members of the Perishables Network from around the world joined us for the three days of the event. Thank you, Grupo Cropa from Guatemala, MIT Cargo from Sri Lanka, TML from Pakistan, FX Logistics from Zimbabwe, and AMIT from Israel.

See you all next year in Berlin!

Fruit Logistica in Berlin is always a great platform to say hello and to catch up in one place.

The event is a key meeting point to learn about upcoming trends and how Panalpina can proactively support its customers to stay ahead of the curve. Together with their own customers, we reviewed past and future programs and discussed pre-planning to secure adequate and additional space for the future.

Airlines, ocean carriers and other partners from around the world also gathered to share information and future requirements.

Innovative new service solutions within the Americas region were the talk of the show.

One was our Perishables Gateway Center in Miami with its wholly in-house controlled operation connecting all Latin and Central American origins with the rest of the globe and vice versa.

Another was Panalpina’s Perishables hub in Huntsville, Alabama, with regular scheduled freighter flights from Bogota, Colombia (which includes cargo feeding from surrounding countries) that connect to the heart of the USA or with our four weekly B747F flights to Europe.

We saw great leadership and great team spirit with our colleagues from all across the globe!

Fruit Logistica Berlin 2019 was another “fruitful” show. Hope to see you again soon!

Despite falling on the Chinese/Lunar New Year this time, Fruit Logistica in Berlin saw a great turnout from Asia. The results and engagements with Asian customers as well as with customers from other regions wanting to increase their business into Asia was tremendously positive.

Not least because we presented our new end-to-end solution in China. It’s a game changer in e-commerce and logistics for the perishables industry, so stay tuned!

We look forward to welcoming you at Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong in September.
