urban artist Chor Boogie is traveling down from San Francisco for a live
art installation at the second annual Doheny Surf Festival in Dana Point,
Southern California this weekend, June 29-30. During this free community
event, Chor Boogie will be live painting a 6-ft. fiberglass Elephant
Parade® statue in his signature street-mural style.
Once completed, the decorated art piece will join dozens more on display in Dana Point starting in August for Elephant Parade: Welcome to America presented by The Resorts of Dana Point.
With nearly 100 murals across the globe – including Mexico City, Beijing, New York City, Sydney and others – Chor Boogie is an urban street artist turned international art sensation after his use of bold, geometric shapes struck a cord with collectors and museums worldwide.
Elephant Parade is the world’s largest open-air art exhibition with the goal of raising worldwide attention, public awareness and support for the endangered Asian elephant. After previous exhibitions in London, Singapore, Milan and Amsterdam, Elephant Parade has attracted top-tier artists and celebrity supporters including Tommy Hilfiger, Katy Perry, Leona Lewis, Isaac Mizrahi, Goldie Hawn, Diane von Furstenberg and many more. Presented by The Resorts of Dana Point, Elephant Parade: Welcome to America will be on display in Dana Point, CA from August – November 2013.
