Empower reinforces Information Management operations in Sweden

Swedish energy segment will face a number of changes during the coming years. Empower’s Information Management Division intends to be one of the key contributors and change enabler for the industry players during the journey and beyond, and is therefore further investing in its presence in Sweden by appointing a new member for the sales team.

Erik Alquist, who began to work with the company on 28 September, is based at Empower's head office in Stockholm.

- I am looking forward to being able to offer new opportunities to customers on the Swedish energy market, says Erik Alquist.

Erik has extensive experience of the energy industry, both as a Delivery Manager and Country Manager Sweden at EG Utility, one of Empower's competitors in Sweden. He has many years of experience of solutions and business on the Swedish market at companies such as Cap Gemini, Atlas Copco and Ericsson.

- Empower stands out from the crowd thanks to its unique blend of modern, web-based system solutions combined with a range of services which customers can use for any elements of their activities. This concept is unusual on the Swedish energy market to date, but its popularity is growing in both Finland and Norway, as well as in a number of other EU countries. I believe many Swedish suppliers will be looking for new solutions in future which permit them to focus on their core business, allowing an operational service supplier to deal with tasks such as collecting meter readings, balanced settlements, dealing with messages and lots more. Not having to deal with servers, data centres, backups and large data volumes may also be a pleasant prospect, says Erik.
