Empower signed a multi-year service agreement with Vattenfall Hydro

Vattenfall extended its long-term cooperation with Empower by signing new multi-year service agreements in December 2014. The agreements cover the operation and maintenance services of the Vattenfall-owned Pamilo hydropower plant and eight smaller hydropower plants in Finland.

Empower produces added value to its customers through its centralised 24/7 control room and its local operating and maintenance personnel located close to customer plants, and through close cooperation between these functions. The company can utilise the control room and local organisations in a multi-customer service. Vattenfall, one of the largest producers of electricity in Europe and the largest producer of heat, has been Empower's customer for more than ten years. Empower is responsible for the operations and maintenance of all of Vattenfall's hydropower plants located in Finland.
