Empower will be a main contractor when building Tönsen wind farm in Central Sweden

OX2 and Empower have signed an agreement for Tönsen wind farm in Central Sweden, Gävleborg County. The value of the agreement is approximately EUR 15 million. Tönsen wind farm covers a total of 27 wind turbines and Empower is responsible for the building of foundations, site roads, hardstands and internal grid.

OX2 develops, builds, finances and manages renewable energy production plants in Northern Europe and Tönsen wind farm is an important addition to their portfolio. The annual electricity generation of the Tönsen wind park is estimated to be at 365 GWh per year.

- Our cooperation with Empower in previous wind farm projects has been excellent and t that's why we also liked Empower to work with us in Tönsen's project, says OX2's construction project manager Stefan Karlsson.
