SPANISH REVOLUTION O-23 WE SURROUND THE CONGRESS... WITH PROPOSALS

Noticia   •   oct 26, 2012 16:37 CEST

Attendence was massive at the action called by the 25-S Coordination,
filling the Plaza de Neptuno outside Congress.

There were two Congressional sessions called for the same day. One was
debating general proposals, debt and cuts, and the other about the
consitutional process.

Taking into account that the action was on Tuesday and sets the stage for
the next demonstration at the national level, it foreshadows that next
Saturday's action will be much more massive.

The protest was peaceful and without incidents. At the end of the sessions
the demonstrators started taking the adjacent streets to surround Congress
symbolically, but the police cut off access to the streets so the crowd
returned to Congress.

Demonstrators covered the police barricades blocking access to Congress
with grievances and proposals.

The action was widely covered by the media, with international reporters
from Iran, Russia, and across Asia.
