FACOM introduces enhanced cordless range

Morangis, Paris, June 2016 – Adding even further value to its innovative cordless tool range, FACOM has announced a host of improvements to its core product series designed for industrial and automotive professionals.

Firstly, an important upgrade to the FACOM 10.8V and 18V Lithium-ion battery packs brings higher capacity cells that deliver increased tool runtime. Ensuring the user knows exactly how much power they have remaining, a highly accurate state of charge indicator is integrated into the battery pack – essential for professionals working remotely or in difficult conditions where changing batteries can be challenging. Improvements in external design include a highly durable Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) overmould for abrasion protection, and glass-filled nylon (GFN) latches and housings that provide greater resistance to chemical and grease, both reducing the potential risk of costly damage.

For improved safety and protection of essential tools on site in all conditions, the FACOM core 18V range is now delivered in an extra-strong and durable ToughSystem kitbox. This enhanced storage solution has been engineered from the most hard-wearing materials, and sealed to stringent IM65 compliance standards, guaranteeing protection against dust and water ingress to safeguard the tools inside. The boxes have been manufactured with robust metal latches for increased durability, and four handles for extreme practicality – two of which have been reinforced with a high-grip rubber overmould, rendering the boxes more comfortable to carry.

Furthermore, these enhanced new storage solutions are compatible with a wide range of other FACOM and DEWALT ToughSystem modular kitboxes, so they can be combined for exceptional convenience, as well as maximum mobility. A premium insert that has been designed to hold the product and accessories, can also be easily transferred to a FACOM or DEWALT roller cabinet, if required. Additional protection and security is provided by integrated padlock eyes, giving professionals the reassurance that their tools will be safely locked away when stored overnight or not in use on the job site.

In addition, three different speed settings allow the selection of optimum speed and torque level according to the specific application.
