FACOM unveils new RED and GRIP Series tape measures

The RED Series
The FACOM RED Series tape measure, available in 2, 3, 5 and 8m lengths, is characterised by an impact resistant and plain ABS plastic casing. Housing a nylon-coated blade, the RED Series is ideal for engineering applications. Double-sided printing, combined with excellent rigidity, and a high standout of 2.3m for the 8m length, enables the blade to be used as a ruler to mark out straight lines, and to take accurate measurements when positioned vertically above the operator.

Fully compliant with the FACOM SLS programme, the RED Series tape measure incorporates a connection point at the rear for tethering on to a belt safety lanyard, in order to prevent drops.

The GRIP Series
The top-of-the-range FACOM GRIP Series tape measure offers a premium and rugged automobile tyre-like rubber casing and grip. The steel brand plate bearing the FACOM name completes the high quality look and feel of this tool. The steel blade, which is coated in Mylar for added resistance to wear and abrasion, is available with an extended width of up to 28mm on the 5 and 8m models. This provides professionals with increased horizontal and vertical rigidity, and a superior standout value of 3.1m.

The strong ‘Multicatch’ end hook is secured to the tip of the blade with three rivets for greater pulling resistance. It has been shaped to allow the user to latch on to larger objects and take measurements in numerous orientations including from the side, overhead and down below.
