The Board of AP4 has appointed the Fund’s Chief Investment Officer Magnus Eriksson to the position of Deputy CEO. He will also continue to work as AP4’s Chief Investment Officer.

Magnus has worked at AP4 since 2008 and was appointed Chief Investment Officer in February 2011. His responsibilities have included developing the Fund’s strategic real estate portfolio, and since 2010 he has been board member of Rikshem AB and Hemfosa Fastigheter AB.

“I'm thrilled to be working with all of my highly skilled colleagues at AP4 and to have been entrusted by the Board with the post of Deputy CEO,” says Magnus Eriksson.

“It’s a natural step in the Fund’s new management structure and highly gratifying that Magnus, with his dedication and expertise, has been appointed Deputy CEO,” says Mats Andersson, CEO of AP4.

AP4 overshot targets and Fund capital increased to SEK 241 billion in the first six months of the year. Total return was 6.3%, contributing over SEK 14 billion to profit. AP4’s active management outperformed the index for the ninth consecutive six-month interim period.

The Fourth Swedish National Pension Fund (AP4) is a government agency. AP4's brief is to manage Fund capital for the best possible return over time and thus support the stability of the pension system.
