Larox Flowsys Continued to Grow and Invest in the Emerging Markets

Larox Flowsys – the preferred supplier of flow control solutions for the customers with abrasive, corrosive and other demanding shut-off, control and pumping applications – continued its growth in 2010. Turnover of the Larox Flowsys Group increased by 32% being 21,3 M€. Profit before taxes was 0,9 M€ and 77% of turnover came from global exports. Larox Flowsys Group has 108 employees, 64 of which are located in Lappeenranta, Finland.

According to company’s CEO Heikki Hyttinen Larox Flowsys Group gained growth in every continent and in every primary market. “Year 2010 was a good and strong year and we returned to direction of growth. Prospects for the future years in company’s primary markets – mining and energy industries – are very promising and we strive for continuing the growth by strengthening our own sales channels and by expanding our product range.”


Subsidiaries in Australia and South Africa

Larox Flowsys Oy has had for a long time subsidiaries in Kouvola, Finland and in Maryland, USA. In addition to these, company has guaranteed its reliable and fast customer service by an international sales and service network, covering over 55 countries.

During the past six months Larox Flowsys has established subsidiaries also in Australia and South Africa, both being significant mining countries. “By local presence we want to enhance our products’ availability and service in these countries”, says Hyttinen.


Remarkable product development in Lappeenranta, Finland

Larox Flowsys’ registered domicile as well as the biggest production unit is in Lappeenranta. Also the biggest R&D investment in 2010 – a new pump family for demanding duties – was made in Lappeenranta. With new Larox Progressive Cavity pumps significant environmental and efficiency improvements will be achieved.

Progressive cavity pump family complements Larox Flowsys’ product and service supply, involving pinch and knife gate valves and peristaltic hose pumps and their service.

Larox Flowsys used to be an associated company of Larox Oyj, but due to ownership arrangements in early 2010 Larox Flowsys became an independent subsidiary owned 100 % by Capillary Oy.
