A hard-working farmer in Fukushima to improve agriculture by showing the process of how crops are grown

Kanako Watanabe has a motto that healthy crops come from healthy soil. Her vegetables are grown with well-balanced soil considering its rich nutrition and mineral composition. Her farm contains 8 hectares of vegetables field and 3 hectares of rice field with 10 different crops including cucumbers, tomatoes, white corns and Japanese cabbage. Customers can purchase her products through JA stores, super markets, and farmers markets.

Her goal is to introduce more people how her products are made to emphasize their safeness. She wants to invite customers and distributors to her farm to teach them producing processes and experience agriculture instead of just selling her products at major super markets. In order to achieve her goal she will start a restaurant with her products. She wants to start growing flowers. In addition, she plans a tour for introducing her farm.

<Message from Kanako>
Food is a very important factor of healthy living. I would like more people to know the process of how my crops are produced to contribute to agriculture in Japan.
