Ōuchi-juku located in the south of Aizu.
Fukushimatekuteku has been featuring information on local food, attractions and travel tips.
We will introduce you Ōuchi-juku located in the south of Aizu in the
latest video. Ōuchi-juku was developed as a post-station town consisted
of traditional houses with thatched roofs in Edo era. Obviously there
was no advanced transporting system as bullet trains and cars at the
time travellers dropped by the town and had relaxing time during their
long trip between Aizu and Nikko.
The town still has
characteristics of Edo era including the scenery of the town and
traditional handicrafts so that people often think that they are
time-travellers back to 300 years ago.
This video will feature a
traditional local dish made of locally grown rice and soybean paste. Are
you ready to visit Ōuchi-juku after watching this amazing video?
